Abstract

Nowadays, supply chain management becomes one of popular systems that are used by companies for increasing profits and costumer trusts. The designing Supply chain management’s case study is implemented at palm oil factory of Gunung Meliau, PTPN XIII, West Borneo. This research by approaching through supply chain management system is focused on the process starting from harvesting of fresh fruit bunches up to producing a high quality and productivity of crude palm oil and palm kernel in accordance with the standart by PTPN XIII. This model is expected to be able to improve the company’s competitive advantage. Competitive advantage can be achieved through value advantage and productivity advantage. Value advantage can be reached through a process that produces high quality products, while productivity advantage is reflected in high-volume production with low-cost process for each unit. Supply chain management system is designed based on identification problems which are traced and observed during supplier research. Supply chain management system is built with three important aspects; those are operational aspect, tactical aspect, and strategic aspect. Supply chain management system is created for stimulating some scenarios about controlling and scheduling of harvesting, delivering, and producing; improving and repairing facilities and infrastructures; implementation of total quality management; and implementation of specification sets through periodic audit.
