Rancang bangusn sistem informasi berbasis web untuk perencanaan pembudidayaan kelapa sawit

Abstract

Palm oil is one of the leading plantation commodity in Indonesia. Area of palm oil plantations increased each year. This condition indicates the need of more man power supply with better understanding on palm oil cultivation. Web based information system was designed to improve the knowledge of people involving in palm cultivation. Web based information system has been developed with SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) which consists of five steps: System Investigation, System Analysis, System Design, System Implementation and System Maintenance. The system has been built with Joomla 1.5.2, which consist of four main menus : General Information, Cultivation Notes, Financial Analysis, and Community Forum. Results from the evaluation of information systems can be concluded that the information system meets users’ needs and ready for use. Keyword : palm oil, web-based information system, SDLC, Joomla
