Pengendalian Kualitas Pada Proses Produksi Kertas Medium di PT Indah Kiat Pulp & Paper, Serang Mill

Abstract

Paper with several sizes plays an important role in human life especially in modern society. Now paper becomes one of human needs and is used in various cases. With times, the paper consumption surely increases because of paper characteristics easily used, practical, light, cheap and can be recycled. Based on rising need of paper, it is a challenge for thefact01Y to increase the quality, capacity, and technology in the paper production. Qualified product is affected by production level through monitoring for each level of the production process. Quality management can be used for quality control, so that it can minimize product damage. The research was conducted at PT Indah Kiat Pulp and Pap~r, Serang mill (PT IKP P). The objective of the research is to identifY level factors of production process that influence final product quality, to analyze pelformance of production process, and main parameter of product quality by using quality management technique namely cause and effect diagram and control chart, identifYing the process instability systems and analyzing the correction process by using information ji-om observation, literature study and expert opinion in the research plant.
