      Abstract
Food safety can be ensured by implementing food safety and quality assurance measures that aim to safeguard public health and well-being by providing safe and healthy food products. Distribution permits is one proof that the products produced have been tested and contain safe ingredients for use and consumption. Having a distribution permit is one of the requirements for processed food businesses to be able to market their products to the market. CV GBA is a small industry that wants to register a distribution permit for a purple sweet potato analog rice product. This study aims to analyze the differences between SPP-IRT and MD distribution permits and to prepare the distribution permit registration requirements (MD) documents from Indonesian Food and Drug Authority (BPOM) and register distribution permits. The research consists of three main stages, namely: analyzing the comparative between SPP-IRT and MD Distribution permit, determining the suitability of the distribution permit registration path for CV GBA, then assist with registration of distribution permits for CV GBA. CV GBA is included in the category of small business actors so they can apply for a SPP-IRT or BPOM distribution permit. CV GBA must register analogue rice products with BPOM because these products include processed food produced domestically to be traded in retail packaging. The appropriate registration mechanism for CV GBA is the MD distribution permit
