      Raw Material Procurement Scheduling Using Material Requirement Planning ( A Case Study in PT. X )

      Abstract
      Inventory is a stock of materials and goods stored for a duration of time before being processed. Material Requirement Planning ( MRP ) is an approach to inventory planning that focuses on how much materials are needed and bought based on forecast demand and lot-sizing. This research evaluates how MRP performs specifically in PT. X and give suggestions for the lot-sizing method that projects the lowest raw material inventory costs. A forecast and lot-sizing calculation are arranged by processing data on the raw material invoice, holding cost, and order cost. The ensuing MRP scheduling is arranged for the next 24 weeks starting from March 2021 to August 2021. The lot-sizing result indicates that the periodic order quantity and part-period balancing method provide the exact lowest total inventory cost for paint, glue, hardener, and packaging raw materials. The resulting lot-sizing concludes that the minimal inventory cost is at Rp68,925,770.
       
      Persediaan merupakan sebuah stok bahan dan barang jadi yang sedang disimpan selama durasi waktu tertentu sebelum diproses. Material Requirement Planning ( MRP ) merupakan sebuah pendekatan perencanaan persediaan yang berfokus pada berapa banyak bahan yang dibutuhkan berdasarkan sebuah prakira ( forecast ), dan bagaimana bahan tersebut perlu dipesan melalui lot-sizing. Penelitian ini menganalisis perencanaan melalui MRP secara spesifik di PT. X dan menghasilkan saran atas metode lot-sizing yang memproyeksikan biaya persediaan bahan baku terendah. Melalui pengolahan data pemesanan, biaya penyimpanan, dan biaya pemesanan, dilakukan penyusunan data prakira dan perhitungan lot-sizing. Penjadwalan MRP yang dilakukan disusun untuk 24 minggu kedepan, dimulai dari Maret 2021 hingga Agustus 2021. Hasil perhitungan lot-sizing menunjukan bahwa metode periodic order quantity, dan part-period balancing memberikan biaya penyimpanan total terendah yang sama untuk bahan baku berupa cat, lem, hardener, dan pengemas. Dari hasil lot-sizing, disimpulkan bahwa biaya penyimpanan total yang minimal adalah sebesar Rp68,925,770 .
