      Studi Prakelayakan Pendirian Industri Kecil Menengah Jus Wortel Bubuk Di Kabupaten Karo

      Abstract
      Wortel merupakan sayuran yang mudah ditemukan dipasaran, harganya murah dan memiliki manfaat bagi kesehatan tubuh manusia. Wortel digunakan sebagai bahan baku pembuatan bubuk wortel yang berguna agar penyajian jus wortel menjadi praktis dan efisien. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui kelayakan pendirian industri kecil menengah jus instan wortel di Kabupaten Karo. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode analisis kelayakan investasi. Formulasi bubuk wortel yang digunakan yaitu berdasarkan hasil uji lab dengan menggunakan maltodekstrin 5% dan tween 80 0,3%. Kapasitas produksi bubuk wortel sebesar 45 kg/hari. Investasi yang dibutuhkan sebesar Rp229 225 810 dan biaya modal kerja Rp39 419 251/bulan dengan asumsi 25 hari kerja. Kriteria studi kelayakan menunjukkan Net Present value (NPV) Rp866 923 441, Internal rate of return (IRR) 65%, Benefit Cost Ratio (B/C Ratio) 4,78, dan Pay back period (PBP) 2,7 tahun. Titik impas tercapai saat penjualan bubuk wortel sebanyak 7 697 kg/tahun. Analisis sensitivitas menunjukkan jika harga bahan baku diturunkan sebesar 10% dan jika harga produk dinaikkan 10% maka industri kecil menengah ini layak untuk didirikan. Berdasarkan seluruh aspek yang dianalisis, industri bubuk wortel layak didirikan di Kabupaten Karo. Kata kunci: Bubuk wortel, wortel, studi kelayakan, kabupaten karo.
       
      Carrot is vegetable that is easy to be found in the market, the price is cheap and has lots of benefit for human health. Carrot is used as the raw material for carrot powder production which is useful for practical and efficient serving of carrot juice. This research aims to know the feasibility on small to medium industry establishment of instant carrot juice at Kabupaten Karo. The method used is investment feasibility analysis method. Carrot powder formulation used is based on laboratory test result by using 5% maltodextrin and 0.3% tween 80. The production capacity of carrot powder is 45 kg/day, in Kabupaten Karo. Investment needed is Rp229 225 810 and the capital cost is Rp39 419 251/month with assumption of 25 work days. The feasibility study criteria shows the Net Present Value (NPV) is Rp866 923 441, Internal Rate of Return (IRR) is 65%, Benefit Cost Ratio (B/C Ratio) is 4.78, and Pay Back Period (PBP) is in 2,7 years. The break-even point is achieved when the carrot powder sales reach 7 697 kg/year. Sensitivity analysis shows that if the raw material price is decreased for 10% and if the product price is increased for 10%, then this small and medium industry is feasible to be established. Based on the whole aspects analyzed, the carrot powder industry is feasible to be established in Kabupaten Karo.
