Abstract: | Global warming is one of several factors influencing sea level dynamic. This research was conducted to determine sea level dynamic in Indonesian waters using Map of Sea Level Anomaly (MSLA) of satellite altimetry data derived from Archiving, Validation and Interpretation of Satellite Oceanographic (AVISO) data delayed time from Data Unification and Altimeter Combination System (DUACS). Satellite altimetry data were extracted from eight stations in Indonesian offshore for twenty years from 14 October 1992 until 4 April 2012. The results showeds that in general Indonesian waters experienced a rise in sea level. The increase of sea level from eight stations in Indonesian waters for the period of twenty years had an average of 10.95 cm with the highest of 15.75 cm in Banda Sea. Generally, fluctuations sea level in Indonesian waters were affected by El Niño-Southern Oscillation (ENSO) and Indian Ocean Dipole (IOD) phenomena. |
