Paremetersw hich taken as criterion in determinationo f pond suitability of shrimp pond are : slope, clay content, land use, land height, distance from coast, distance from river, salinity, depth of soil solum, soil pH, soil organic matter, and pyrite content. Based on result of analysis SIG, obtained wide areao f MangaraB ombangc oastala reaa mosts uitability( Sl) for intensive/ semi intensives hrimpp ond were found 1525,'133h ectare,s uitable( S2) were found 1446,451h ectare,a nd less suitable( 53) were found 2332,071h a. Wiile kutd of mo$ suibbility (Sl) fdr a'aditionaVuaditioriapll us shriiilp ijdnd were fouid 1.148,478h ectare,s uitable( S2) weref ound 1.578,667h ectzrea, ndl esss uitable( S3) weref ound 878,360h ectare. Result of this research concludes that Mangara Bombang coastal area stills has potential for shrimp pond development intensive/semii ntensive, and also traditionaVtraditionapl lus. Wide areao f shrimp pond managed which intensivew ith a width of 35,98 hectares o that still there is developmenpt otency of intensive/ semi intensive shrimp pond with a width of 2936,204 hectare, while wide land of shrimp pond managed with taditional with a width of 827,11'7h ectares o that still therei s developmenpt otencyo f traditionaVtraditional plus shrimpp ond with a width of 1900,028h ectare.
