Abstract

Community structure of target fishes was analyzed to understand their responset o differentc onditionso f coral reefs in severalp laceso f Hugowa nd Putus- Putus islands. This study focused on species abundance and diversity including Shannon-Wieners'sp eciesd iversity( H'),s peciesr ichness( SR),s peciese venness( J') and dominance( d) indices,r espectivelyA. multivariatea nalysisw as used for the classificationo r correspondencef actorial analyses. The result recorded 4,501 individualsb elongingt o 52 specieso f targetf ishes.B othc lustera nd correspondence analyses clearly recognized 3 groups of target fish with 2 major controlling factors for the developmenot f these3 ecologicagl roups,i .e.c oralr eefc onditionsa nd geographic positiont o the hydrodynamicco ndition.
