dc.description.abstractArtificial reefs studies in Indonesia as a way to improve damaged reef ecosystem as well as artificial reef application as alternative to catch coral fish. The research objectives are to compare composition and number of reef fish around artificial reefs made of tire and bamboo and to compare fishing yield by trap on artificial reefs made of tire and bamboo. Experiment was used as the method of the research. The result show that there are different on composition and number of fish where number of fish in tire more than on bamboo. There were 15 family with 27 species around the artificial reefs and fishing yield by trap. The suitable material to attract fish is tire compare to bamboo.en
