dc.description.abstractIn Sumatera and Sulawesi only the red jungle fowl was found, but both thev red and the green jungle fowl were found in Jawa, Bali and Lombok. A clear difference was observed in the selection of habitat between the red and the green jungle fowls living in some areas. The principal component analysis was applied to the determination of the body measurement in the study, with conformation of the following morphological characteristics of the Indonesian jungle fowl. The male G.g. gallus was distinguishable from the G. g Javanicus im the size component, but not in the shape component. The difference was also found in the size component but not in the shape component, between the male and female for G varius (green jungle fowl)en
