Abstract: Cholera toxin is main factor that responsibHity of wBlery dianhea. The objectives of this investigation was to study the effect of finger extract (GDE) in blocking cholela toxin binding to receptOlS (Jf LV hybridome and Caco-2 cells. Analysis oftoxin binding by flow cytometty of 0-5 J.l'iml of B-FITC conjtJgsted cholera toxin to 105 celJslml of LV hybridome and Caco-2 cells In RPM I, BI 4"C for one hour showed thBl specific itteractlon of B-FITC by 44,44 :1:3,* peICMt to LV hyblidome and by 94,58:1: 1,83 percent to Caco-2 cells A total of 105 ceI/sIml of hybridome and Caco-2 cells were incubated with 0-5 J.l'imltoxin B-FlTC and 25 or 50 J.l'iml GDE In RPMI, BI 4"C for one hour showed thBl the addition of OOl: inhibited the toxin binding. The binding inhibition respectively InI8 4.76-15.66 and 12.55-24.60 percent to Caco-2ce/1s, and 3.55-17.95 and 3.58-27.83 percent to hybridome cells. The inhibition on the toxin binding may be due to mOOifIcation of the receptor by GDE or interaction of GDE with the toxin. Key words: Hibridoma LV.
