Laju Pertumbuhan dan Produksi Karkas Sapi Peranakan Ongole Jantan dengan Penambahan Probiotik Starbio pada Pakannya

Abstract

The experiment was conducted to investigate the growth rate, feed consumption and carcam parentage of male Ongole crossbred (PO) cattle grown intensively with probiotic (starbio) addition on the diet. Six (6) male Ongole emsobred (PO) cattle of approximately 1.5-20 year old with an initial body weight of 27l.S0+272l kg were used in this study and nndornly devided into two ration treatment units, namely: (I) Ration without probiotic ("starbion) addition as controle, and (11) Ration with probiotic ("stublo") addition. The ration applied 25-3.0% in dry matter consisting of 70% concentrate and 30% King p a . Probiotic wm given 0S0/a of concentrate and drinking water was given ad libitum. The animals were kept in a feedlot system for three months. The vaxiable measurements were average of daily gain (ADG), feed consumption, feed convenion, curass and noMuuss percentage. The collected data were analyzed by t-test. The reeults indicated that ADG (0.77 vs 0.98 kg) and feed dry matter consumption (8.89 vr 9.53 kg) were no differed significantly between two ration treatments. The werc no significant effect of treatment on perrentage of carcass, meat, bone,and non-curam. Feed conversion and feed cost per gain of probiotic addition on the diet were better than without probiotic addition (controle).
