Abstract: The present study was performed to evaluate embryo recovery by employing combination of laparotomy and laparoscopy techniques. Induction of estrous synchronization was performed by inserting CIDR (goat) intravaginally for 14 days. At the day 7th of insertion, the CIDR was replaced with the new one. Stimulation of multiple ovulation was performed by intramuscular injection of 12 mg FSH, 300 XU PMSG on the day 12 following the first CIDR insertion. Then GnRH of 50 pg was injected intramuscularly 24 hours following CIDR removal. The results of total ovarian observation indicated that there were 27 corpora lutea and 6 follicles persistent. Embryo collection using combination laparotomy and laparoscopy was performed on the day 5 following oestrus (D5)or day 7 following CIDR removal. Embryo collection resulted in recovering 13 embryos and 1 oocyte (51.8%). All embryos (13) were categorized in early momlla stage and they were all in a good quality for being transferred. Finally, it can be concluded that combination techniques laparotomy and laparoscopy is a successful technique which can be performed to collect embryos in Angora goats.
