In the last decade, a concern on protease as medicinal target for overcoming bacterial and viral drseases has been rapidly. increased because of the obvious involvement of this enzyme in the molecuiar of the diseases mechanism. The purpose of this research \\,as to characterize proteases from fish palogenic bacteria Aeromonas hvdropl~ila. The bacteria here grown in media containing teptone 1%; SaCI 1% and yeast extract 0.5%. The optimum production time ofA .I~ydrop/iilaw as 48 h, the optimum pH a.as 7.5. the optimum temperature,as 50 "C. Study on the eK-1 of metals ion and spesific ~nhlbitorsin dicated that protease from A. hydrophiln was serin metaloproiease. f+rord.s : protease, characterization, phatogenic bacteriaid
