Adolescence is a crucial stage in identity formation, with self-esteem serving as a foundation for psychological development, confidence, and social adjustment. Both external factors, such as family harmony, and internal factors, such as emotional dysregulation, play significant roles. This study aims to analyze their effects on adolescent self-esteem in rural Bogor using a quantitative explanatory design. A purposive sample of 169 students aged 15–18 from SMAN 1 Sukajaya and SMAN 1 Jasinga was collected between March and May 2025. Data were analyzed through descriptive statistics, correlation, and regression tests using SPSS 25.0. The findings show a significant positive relationship between family harmony and self-esteem, while emotional dysregulation is negatively correlated. Regression analysis further confirms family harmony as a protective factor and emotional dysregulation as a risk factor for self-esteem. Together, these variables explain 22,9% of the variance in self-esteem, indicating that other influential factors remain outside the scope of this study.-
