| Abstract: | Air limbah tahu merupakan salah satu jenis air limbah industri rumah tangga yang memiliki kandungan bahan organik tinggi seperti protein, lemak dan karbohidrat. Tofu wastewater is a type of household industrial wastewater which has a high content of organic materials such as protein, fat and carbohydrates. This research aims to analyze the effectiveness of Moringa seed powder as a natural biocoagulant in reducing pollutant levels in tofu wastewater through the coagulation-flocculation process. The research method used is a quantitative method. This method is carried out by testing the effectiveness of biocoagulants from Moringa seed powder. The research results showed that all doses of biocoagulants were able to reduce pollutant levels even though they did not meet the quality standards for tofu wastewater. The highest reduction in COD of 15.12% and BOD of 57.09% was obtained at a dose of 5 grams, while the highest reduction in TSS of 65.54% occurred at a dose of 3 grams. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that Moringa seed powder has the potential as an environmentally friendly natural biocoagulant to reduce pollutants in tofu wastewater. However, further processing is needed so that the processing results are more optimal and meet the quality standards for tofu waste water. |
