Penelitian ini bertujuan menilai siklus hidup produk menggunakan metode Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) dengan pendekatan gate to gate berdasarkan standar ISO 14040, meliputi tahap goal and scope definition, Life Cycle Inventory (LCI), Life Cycle Impact Assessment (LCIA), dan Interpretation. | - |
| dc.description.abstract | MaggoPlast-Gel is the first liquid plaster in Indonesia, formulated with Black Soldier Fly (BSF) oil and Tinospora crispa extract as natural active ingredients. This study aims to assess the product’s life cycle using the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) method with a gate to gate approach based on ISO 14040, covering goal and scope definition, life cycle inventory (LCI), life cycle impact assessment (LCIA), and interpretation. Data were collected from laboratory observations, interviews, literature, and OpenLCA databases. The LCIA results using indicate that producing one 5 mL bottle of MaggoPlast-Gel generates approximately 0.506 kg CO2-eq, with the largest contribution from electricity use (67.2%), followed by ethanol evaporation (19.8%) and synthetic additives. These findings highlight that although natural active ingredients have relatively low impacts, the production process still significantly contributes to carbon emissions, requiring improvements such as renewable energy adoption, substitution of petrochemical-based additives, and optimization of ethanol use efficiency. | - |
