The cattle farm of IPB Vocational School has utilized the waste produced by converting it into biogas and liquid organic fertilizer (POC), but the utilization has not been maximized and wastewater is still being discharged into water bodies. Ammonia concentration in cattle farm wastewater is considerably high and can cause pollution if discharged directly without treatment. Therefore, an effective treatment alternative is required using a two-stage treatment scheme: the first stage employs microbubble technology, and the second stage utilizes a Constructed Wetland system with two plant species, Cyperus alternifolius and Arachis pintoi, using Horizontal Subsurface Flow (HSSF) type. Prior to treatment, the ammonia concentration in cattle farm wastewater was 67,89 mg/L. After the first treatment stage, the ammonia concentration was reduced to 38,59 mg/L. Following the second treatment stage, the ammonia concentration decreased to 4,55 mg/L with Cyperus alternifolius and 2,33 mg/L with Arachis pintoi. It can be concluded that the effective treatment scheme for ammonia concentration reduction consists of microbubble technology as the first treatment stage and a Constructed Wetland system with Arachis pintoi as the second treatment stage.
