Abstract: MUHAMMAD BAGAS APRILIO. Edukasi Bahaya Diabetes Melitus Akibat Minuman Kemasan Melalui Media Mading di SMA Kemala Bhayangkari. Dibimbing oleh VIETA ANNISA NURHIDAYATI. Diabetes melitus adalah penyakit metabolik yang prevalensinya terus meningkat di Indonesia, terutama pada kelompok usia remaja akibat tingginya konsumsi minuman berpemanis dan berkemasan. Penelitian ini bertujuan memberikan edukasi mengenai bahaya diabetes melitus melalui media majalah dinding (mading) di SMA Kemala Bhayangkari. Desain penelitian menggunakan one group pre-test and post-test dengan jumlah sampel 66 siswa kelas 10 yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Efektivitas edukasi dengan media mading ditunjukkan melalui hasil uji Wilcoxon p<0,05 dan nilai N-Gain sebesar 0,56 menunjukkan efektivitas media berada pada kategori cukup efektif, sementara persepsi siswa terhadap media mading menunjukkan tingkat kesukaan tinggi (89,11%). Dengan demikian, media mading dinilai cukup efektif digunakan sebagai sarana edukasi gizi dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan remaja mengenai bahaya konsumsi minuman kemasan terhadap risiko diabetes melitus. MUHAMMAD BAGAS APRILIO. Education on the Dangers of Diabetes Mellitus Caused by Packaged Drinks Through a Wall Magazine at Kemala Bhayangkari High School. Supervised by VIETA ANNISA NURHIDAYATI. Diabetes mellitus is one of the metabolic diseases with a continuously increasing prevalence in Indonesia, particularly among adolescents due to the high consumption of packaged sweetened beverages. This study aims to provide education about the dangers of diabetes mellitus through a wall magazine at SMA Kemala Bhayangkari. The study method is one group pre-test and post-test design, with a sample consisted of 66 tenth-grade students selected through purposive sampling. Effectiveness of education showed by Wilcoxon test result p<0.05 and N-Gain value of 0.56 that indicates the moderate effective category. Students' perceptions of the wall magazine showed a high level of liking (89.11%). This indicated wall magazine is considered sufficiently effective as an educational medium for improving adolescents' knowledge about the dangers of consuming packaged beverages in relation to the risk of diabetes mellitus.
