Abstract: Proyek ini membahas proses penulisan naskah untuk video company profile milik Inspektorat Daerah Provinsi Jawa Barat dengan pendekatan teknik visual storytelling. Penulis berperan sebagai scriptwriter dalam proyek ini dan berkolaborasi bersama tim produksi serta pihak Inspektorat untuk menciptakan video yang informatif dan representatif. Tujuan utamanya adalah memperkenalkan identitas, peran, dan capaian Inspektorat kepada masyarakat melalui media audiovisual yang menarik, efisien, dan mudah diakses di era digital. Manfaatnya antara lain sebagai media publikasi profil lembaga, peningkatan keterbukaan informasi publik, dan referensi pembuatan naskah video untuk instansi pemerintah. Proyek ini terdiri dari tiga tahap utama menulis naskah: pra-produksi, produksi, dan pasca-produksi. Pra-produksi mencakup riset, pengembangan konsep, penulisan naskah, penyusunan storyboard dan shotlist, serta presentasi ke pihak Inspektorat. Produksi melibatkan pengambilan gambar sesuai naskah dan shotlist dengan pengawasan penulis naskah. Pasca-produksi meliputi penyuntingan video, perekaman voice over, penambahan musik latar dan efek, serta revisi akhir. Teknik visual storytelling diterapkan melalui lima prinsip utama: (1) Clarity narasi jelas dan mudah dipahami, (2) Realism menampilkan data dan aktivitas nyata, (3) Dynamic penggunaan diksi emosional dan visual menarik, (4) Continuity alur cerita konsisten dari awal hingga akhir, dan (5) Intuity penutup yang menggugah emosi dan menegaskan komitmen lembaga. Hasil akhir proyek adalah video company profile berdurasi 8 menit yang dipublikasikan melalui YouTube dan Instagram Inspektorat Daerah Provinsi Jawa Barat. Pembuatan naskah untuk video company profile berbentuk video yang menyajikan informasi secara terstruktur ini berhasil menyajikan profil, peran, dan capaian instansi secara informatif, komunikatif, kreatif dan profesional. Penerapan teknik visual storytelling dalam penulisan naskah video company profile terbukti efektif meningkatkan kualitas penyampaian informasi dan membangun citra positif lembaga. Naskah yang terstruktur, didukung visual yang relevan, mampu memperkuat pesan institusional dan meningkatkan keterhubungan dengan audiens. Proyek ini dapat menjadi model bagi pembuatan video profil instansi pemerintah lainnya yang ingin mengoptimalkan strategi komunikasi visual di era digital.
This project explores the scriptwriting process for a company profile video for the West Java Provincial Inspectorate using a visual storytelling approach. The author served as scriptwriter for this project and collaborated with the production team and the Inspectorate to create an informative and representative video. The primary goal was to introduce the Inspectorate's identity, role, and achievements to the public through engaging, efficient, and easily accessible audiovisual media in the digital age. Benefits include serving as a medium for publishing the institution's profile, increasing public information transparency, and providing a reference for creating video scripts for government agencies. This project consisted of three main stages of scriptwriting: pre-production, production, and post-production. Pre-production included research, concept development, scriptwriting, storyboarding and shotlist development, and presentation to the Inspectorate. Production involved filming according to the script and shotlist under the supervision of the scriptwriter. Post-production included video editing, voiceover recording, adding background music and effects, and final revisions. Visual storytelling techniques are applied through five main principles: (1) Clarity of narrative that is clear and easy to understand, (2) Realism in presenting real data and activities, (3) Dynamic use of emotional diction and engaging visuals, (4) Continuity of a consistent storyline from beginning to end, and (5) Intuitive closing that evokes emotions and emphasizes the institution's commitment. The final result of the project was an 8-minute company profile video published on YouTube and Instagram of the West Java Provincial Inspectorate. The script for this structured company profile video successfully presented the institution's profile, role, and achievements in an informative, communicative, creative, and professional manner. The application of visual storytelling techniques in writing the company profile video script has proven effective in improving the quality of information delivery and building a positive image of the institution. The structured script, supported by relevant visuals, strengthens the institutional message and enhances engagement with the audience. This project can serve as a model for other government agency profile video creators seeking to optimize their visual communication strategies in the digital age.
