In addition to producing crude palm oil, Indonesia also produces various derivative products from palm kernel oil, including margarine. The purpose of this study is to analyze the factors that influence the export of Indonesian margarine products and their competitiveness in the top 8 destination countries from 2010 to 2022. This study uses the RCA, EPD, X-Model, and panel data regression methods. The RCA method shows that Indonesian margarine has strong competitiveness in all main destination countries and has comparative advantages. The EPD results show that Indonesia's export market position is in the rising star position in Angola China, and Papua Nugini, falling star in Ghana and Nigeria, retreat ini Korea Selatan and lost opportunity in Jamaica and Myanmar. The X-Model results show that Indonesian margarine exports to Angola, China, and Papua Nugini are in optimistic market development, and have potential market development in Ghana Jamaica, Nyanmar, and Nigeria. Based on the panel data regression analysis of Indonesian margarine exports to the top 8 destination countries from 2010 to 2022, it is found that the exports are positively influenced by the destination country's RCA value, real exchange rate, and export price. Meanwhile, GDP percapita and economic distance have negative effects." Keywords: Panel data, EPD, RCA, margarine, X-Model. |
