| dc.description.abstract | The TOSS TBC program (Find Tuberculosis, Treat Until Cured) is an initiative by the Indonesian Ministry of Health to control tuberculosis, particularly in high-case regions such as Bogor Regency, which has recorded the highest number of cases in West Java over the past three years. This study analyzes the effectiveness of TOSS TBC’s health communication strategy and the related influencing factors. A quantitative approach was employed, supported by qualitative data collected in Leuwiliang District. The findings show that the communication strategy is effective in improving knowledge (cognitive) and attitude (affective), but not yet effective in encouraging preventive behavior (conative). Factors such as gender, education level, message exposure duration, message clarity, and message attractiveness are significantly associated with the strategy’s effectiveness. Meanwhile, age, media diversity, and message frequency are only related to cognitive and affective aspects. Income level is associated solely with the affective aspect. The study suggests that behavioral change requires additional supporting factors, such as personal proximity to TB patients or a heightened perception of vulnerability to the disease. | - |
