Penggunaan pestisida karbaril secara berlebihan pada produk pertanian dapat
meninggalkan residu pestisida yang membahayakan kesehatan manusia. Pada
penelitian ini, screen-printed carbon electrode (SPCE) difabrikasi untuk
mendeteksi pestisida karbaril dengan menggunakan campuran grafit sebagai bahan
konduktif, resin alkid sebagai bahan pengikat, dan aseton sebagai pelarut, dengan
substrat berbasis polivinil klorida (PVC) menggunakan teknik voltammetri.
Permukaan elektrode dikarakterisasi menggunakan analisis morfologi dengan
SEM-EDS dan mengukur sudut kontak. Kinerja sensor dalam analisis karbaril
dievaluasi berdasarkan parameter linearitas, batas deteksi (LOD), batas kuantitasi
(LOQ), presisi, selektivitas, dan sensitivitas. Sensor menunjukkan respons linear
terhadap karbaril pada rentang 2–60 µM dengan batas deteksi 0,5 µM dan batas
kuantisasi 1,2 µM. SPCE hasil fabrikasi memiliki ketertiruan yang baik dengan
nilai %RSD 4,30%, selektivitas yang tinggi terhadap senyawa pengganggu
dengan %RSD 4,92%, serta sensitivitas 0,1209 µA µM-1
. Namun, sensor ini
menunjukkan kestabilan rendah untuk penggunaan berulang, dengan %RSD > 5%.

Supervised by DEDEN SAPRUDIN and WULAN TRI WAHYUNI. Excessive use of carbaryl insecticides in agricultural produsts may result in pesticide residues that jeopardize human health. In this study, a screen-printed carbon electrode (SPCE) was fabricated for the detection of carbaryl pesticide utilizing a mixture of graphite as conductive material, alkyd resin as binder, and acetone as solvent, with a polyvinyl chloride (PVC)-based substrate using a voltammetric approach. The electrode surface was characterized using morphological analysis with SEM-EDS and contact angle measurement. Sensor performance in carbkyaryl analysis was evaluated using factors such as linearity, limit of detection (LOD), limit of quantitation (LOQ), precision, selectivity, and sensitivity. The sensor responded linearly to carbaryl in the concentration range of 2-60 µM, with a detection limit of 0.5 µM and a quantification limit of 1.2 µM. The SPCE exhibits good repeatability (4.30% RSD), great selectivity against interfering chemicals (4.92% RSD), and sensitivity (0.1209 µA µM-1 ). However, the sensor demonstrated low stability over repeated usage, with %RSD exceeding 5%. Keywords: carbaryl, electrochemical sensor, SPCE fabrication. |
