Climate change and human activities in coastal areas have contributed to the growing risk of tidal flooding in Tegal City, Central Java. This research aims to map the spatial distribution of tidal flooding in 2024 and predict its extent in 2043 using geospatial information systems. The research methods involved tidal data analysis, Digital Elevation Model (DEM), Sentinel-2A and Sentinel-1A satellite imagery, and field interviews. Satellite imagery classification was conducted using the maximum likelihood method, while land subsidence was analyzed with the DInSAR method. The results showed that in 2024, the area affected by tidal flooding covered 941.92 hectares, and it was projected to expand to 1,101.29 hectares by 2043. West Tegal District was identified as the most affected area, while South Tegal District remained unaffected. Aquaculture ponds were the most impacted land cover class across all districts. Meanwhile, the least affected land cover in 2024 was paddy fields, which shifted to bushes by 2043. These findings highlighted that the combination of land subsidence and sea level rise played a significant role in shaping the future distribution of tidal flooding. | - |
