The lack of educational media that emotionally and narratively represents the experiences of Indonesian military children, combined with the persistence of negative public stereotypes toward military life, forms the foundation of this study. The research aims to explore the potential of digital pop-up animation utilizing dialogic storytelling as a more communicative and relevant educational tool. A quantitative method was employed by distributing a one score one indicator scoring system question to 240 respondents, and the data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling Partial Least Squares (SEM–PLS). The results show that five out of six independent variables visual quality, storyline, message relevance, character appeal, and communication style have a significant influence on the formation of positive perceptions of the Indonesian Armed Forces (TNI). In contrast, the sound effect variable did not show a statistically significant impact. These findings emphasize the role of animation not only as a medium for delivering information but also as an effective platform for shaping perception, evoking empathy, and bridging complex social issues in a more humanistic way. The use of dialogic storytelling allows for a more interactive and reflective experience for the audience, especially younger viewers.
