Lemon (Citrus limon L.) is a high-value horticultural commodity in Indonesia with strong economic potential that can be developed locally to reduce reliance on imports. This research aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of biofertilizer application on the vegetative growth of 2-year-old local lemon plants. The experiment was conducted at the Pasirkuda Experimental Farm, IPB University, Bogor Regency, from September 2024 to January 2025. A one-factor Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) was employed, with the factor being biofertilizer dosage. The treatment levels included 0, 10, 20, and 30 ml/plant, each replicated eight times. Application of biofertilizer to plants after transplanting to the field (0 weeks) and second application at 8 weeks. The results demonstrated that biofertilizer application had a significant effect on increasing shoot number, plant height and shoot length. The treatment with a 30 ml biological fertilizer per plant yielded the most favorable outcomes in enhancing plant height, shoot number, and shoot length. |
