dc.description.abstractPermasalahan utama pada rehabilitasi ekosistem gambut adalah kondisi yang masam dan kesuburan yang rendah sehingga diperlukan pemberian dolomit, pupuk, jenis adaptif, dan teknik tanam yang tepat. Salah satu jenis adaptif yang dapat digunakan adalah merbau. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memproduksi pupuk limbah kelapa sawit dan menganalisis pengaruh aplikasi pupuk limbah kelapa sawit (PLKS), serta teknik tanam terhadap pertumbuhan merbau di tanah gambut. Metode yang digunakan adalah teknik penanaman direct sowing dan seedball dengan rancangan acak lengkap faktorial dengan 2 faktor dan 4 ulangan. Faktor pertama adalah pupuk, dengan jenis pupuk limbah kelapa sawit tanpa aktivasi karbon (PLKS-NT), pupuk limbah kelapa sawit dengan aktivasi karbon (PLKS-T), pupuk limbah kelapa sawit kristalin selulosa (PLKS-KS), dan pupuk limbah kelapa sawit lignoselulosa (PLKS-L) sebanyak 18 taraf dan faktor kedua adalah teknik tanam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan interaksi antara pemberian PLKS dengan teknik tanam menghasilkan pertumbuhan terbaik pada parameter panjang akar sekunder dan jumlah akar primer. Pemberian pupuk PLKS-L7% dengan teknik tanam direct sowing menghasilkan pertumbuhan terbaik pada pertumbuhan merbau.-
dc.description.abstractThe main problem in peat ecosystem rehabilitation is acidic condition and low fertility, which require the application of dolomite, fertilizer, adaptive species, and appropriate planting techniques. Type species that can be used is merbau. This study aims to produce oil palm waste fertilizer and analyze the effects of applying oil palm waste fertilizer (PLKS) and planting techniques on the growth of merbau in peatland. The methods used were direct sowing and seedball planting techniques with a completely randomized factorial of two factors and four replications. The first factor is fertilizer, types of oil palm waste fertilizer without carbon activation (PLKS-NT), oil palm waste fertilizer with carbon activation (PLKS-T), crystalline cellulose oil palm waste fertilizer (PLKS-KS), and lignocellulose oil palm waste fertilizer (PLKS-L) at 18 levels, and the second factor was planting technique. The results showed the interaction between PLKS application and planting technique produced the best growth in terms of secondary root length and primary root number. The application of oil palm waste fertilizer PLKS-L7% combined with the direct sowing planting technique resulted in the best growth of merbau.-
