| dc.description.abstract | The self-acceptance of mothers with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) can be influenced by the implementation of coping strategies, and support from family, friends, and significant others. This study aims to analyze the influence of coping strategies and social support on the self-acceptance of parents who have children with ASD. The study used a cross sectional design involving 60 respondents selected through purposive sampling. The criteria for respondents included mothers with children diagnosed with ASD aged 6–18 years and residing in the city of Bandung. The results showed that coping strategies, social support, and self-acceptance among mothers of children with ASD were all at a moderate level. Correlation tests revealed that the mother's education level, employment status, and family income were significantly positively related to the mother’s self-acceptance. This means that a higher level of formal education, employment status, and greater family income are associated with greater self-acceptance. Multiple linear regression analysis showed a significant positive influence of the seeking social support and planful problem solving dimensions of coping strategies on the self-acceptance of mothers of children with ASD. | - |
