| dc.description.abstract | Implementasi sensor photoelectric pada konveyor otomatis untuk meningkatkan efisiensi produksi roti di PT. XYZ bertujuan untuk meningkatkan efisiensi produksi dan mengurangi biaya operasional. Penelitian ini menganalisis dampak implementasi sensor photoelectric dibandingkan dengan sistem konveyor konvensional yang yang mengandalkan satu saklar (switch) untuk mengontrol seluruh jalur konveyor. Sensor photoelectric bekerja dengan memancarkan sinar cahaya dalam bentuk sinar inframerah dari pemancar (emitter) ke penerima (receiver) atau reflector. Dalam konteks industri roti, sensor ini dipasang di sepanjang jalur konveyor untuk mendeteksi keberadaan produk roti. Ketika roti melintasi jalur deteksi, sinar akan terhalang atau dipantulkan kembali, yang kemudian menghasilkan sinyal digital. Sinyal ini diteruskan ke unit pengendali, yang selanjutnya mengaktifkan atau menghentikan motor konveyor secara otomatis. Dengan pengumpulan data melalui observasi langsung, analisis biaya operasional, dan evaluasi kinerja sistem konveyor, penelitian ini menemukan bahwa implementasi sensor photoelectric pada konveyor otomatis secara signifikan mengurangi konsumsi energi, keausan komponen mesin, serta memperpanjang umur pakai mesin dengan mengaktifkan konveyor hanya ketika mendeteksi produk. Perbandingan biaya menunjukkan penghematan yang substansial baik harian, bulanan, maupun tahunan. Selain itu, sistem sensor photoelectric juga mengurangi risiko kesalahan manusia, meningkatkan keandalan operasional, dan memastikan efisiensi produksi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, disarankan agar PT. XYZ dapat segera mengimplementasikan sensor photoelectric dan melaksanakan pelatihan mendalam bagi operator serta teknisi. Evaluasi dan pemeliharaan berkala juga diperlukan untuk memastikan sistem berfungsi secara optimal. | - |
| dc.description.abstract | This study aims to improve production efficiency and reduce operational costs at PT. XYZ by implementing photoelectric sensors on automated conveyor systems. The research compares the performance of photoelectric sensor-based conveyors with conventional conveyor systems that rely on a single switch to control the entire line. Photoelectric sensors work by emitting infrared beams between an emitter and a receiver or reflector, detecting the presence of bread products on the conveyor. When a product interrupts or reflects the beam, a digital signal is sent to the control unit to automatically start or stop the motor. Data collected through direct observation, operational cost analysis, and system performance evaluation indicates that the implementation of photoelectric sensors significantly reduces energy consumption, machine wear, and extends equipment lifespan by activating the conveyor only when products are detected. Furthermore, the system enhances operational reliability, minimizes human error, and ensures more consistent and efficient production. The results suggest that PT. XYZ should adopt this technology and provide appropriate training for operators and technicians, along with regular system evaluations and maintenance to maintain optimal performance. | - |
