| Abstract: | AISYAH SIHOMBING. Penerapan Smart Tourism sebagai Strategi Transformasi Digital untuk Menarik Wisatawan di Kabupaten Samosir. Dibimbing oleh IKA SARTIKA.
Penelitian bertujuan untuk menganalisis penerapan smart tourism sebagai strategi transformasi digital untuk menarik wisatawan di Kabupaten Samosir menggunakan pendekatan metode campuran (kualitatif dan kuantitatif). Penelitian ini mengkaji tiga aspek utama: (1) penerapan smart tourism dalam mendukung transformasi digital sektor pariwisata, (2) motivasi, persepsi, dan preferensi wisatawan, serta (3) faktor pendukung dan penghambat implementasinya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi digital berbasis website, aplikasi Samosir Tourism, dan media sosial berhasil meningkatkan daya tarik wisatawan, dengan 89,8% responden mengandalkan teknologi digital untuk perencanaan perjalanan sekaligus memberikan rekomendasi untuk memperluas jaringan internet, mengoptimalkan fitur aplikasi, dan memberdayakan pelaku usaha lokal melalui pelatihan digital. Tantangan seperti infrastruktur digital yang belum merata dan rendahnya partisipasi UMKM lokal dalam platform digital masih menjadi penghambat. Teori Uses and Gratification digunakan untuk memahami bagaimana wisatawan secara aktif memanfaatkan teknologi digital. Temuan ini mendukung Kabupaten Samosir sebagai destinasi wisata modern yang berkelanjutan AISYAH SIHOMBING. Research aims to analyze the application of smart tourism as a digital transformation strategy to attract tourists in samosir districts using a qualitative and quantitative approach. The study examined three main aspects: (1) the application of smart tourism in support of the digital transformation of the tourism sector, (2) the motivations, perceptions, and preferences of tourists, and (3) its supporters and implementation factors. Research shows that web-based digital strategies, Samosir tourism applications, and social media have been able to increase tourist attractiveness, with 89.8% of those who rely on digital technology for travel planning. While giving recommendations for expanding Internet networks, optimizing application features, and empowering local entrepreneurs through digital training. Challenges such as unequal digital infrastructure and low local UMKM participation on digital platforms are still a hindrance. Uses and Gratification theory are used to understand how tourists actively use digital technology. These findings favor Samosir districts as a continuing modern tourist destination |
