Perkembangan teknologi kecerdasarn buatan, salah satu nya adalah ChatGPT telah membawa dampak yang cukup besar dalam dunia pendidikan utamanya. ChatGPT adalah salah satu AI yang berbasis teks sudah banyak digunakan oleh mahasiswa dalam aktivitas pendidikannya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan secara kuantitatif dengan metide deskriptif dan kausalitas untuk menganalisis hubungan antara penggunaan ChatGPT dan efektivitas komunikasi interpersonal mahasiswa program studi Komunikasi Digital dan Media Sekolah Vokasi IPB. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner yang disebarkan kepada 93 responden mahasiswa aktif program studi Komunikasi Digital dan Media Sekolah Vokasi IPB. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan ChatGPT berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap efektivitas komunikasi interpersonal. Efektivitas komunikasi interpersonal mahasiswa tidak hanya ditentukan oleh ChatGPT, tetapi juga dipengaruhi oleh faktor-faktor lain.

TASYA CAMILA HAMDANI The development of artificial intelligence technology, one of which is ChatGPT, has had a significant impact on the world of education, particularly in higher education. ChatGPT is one of the text-based AI systems widely used by students in their educational activities. This study employs a quantitative approach using descriptive and causal methods to analyze the relationship between ChatGPT usage and the effectiveness of interpersonal communication among students in the Digital Communication and Media program at the Vocational School of IPB. Data was collected through a questionnaire distributed to 93 active students in the Digital Communication and Media program at the Vocational School of IPB. The results of the study indicate that the use of ChatGPT significantly affects the effectiveness of interpersonal communication. The effectiveness of students' interpersonal communication is not only determined by ChatGPT but is also influenced by other factors.
