By 2050, the global population is predicted to surge to 10 billion people, requiring a 60% increase in food production. The use of fine bubble technology (FBT) has the potential to increase the level of dissolved oxygen needed by roots, thereby supporting rice growth and production. This study aims to analyze the increase in Dissolved Oxygen (DO) with FBT in the SRI method, identify the effect of water depth on rice growth, and compare harvest yields between the SRI-FBT method and conventional irrigation. The study used four treatments: P1 and P2 (using FBT with a water level of 7 cm), and P3 and P4 (without FBT, with water levels of 0 cm and 2 cm) in two different irrigation systems. The results showed that the effectiveness of using fine bubble technology on both plots was 40.55%, which increased oxygen for the roots and made them stronger, thereby boosting rice production. On the P2 plot, the plants reached the highest height of 165.6 cm, had the highest number of tillers at 20 stems, and achieved the highest yield of 8.0 tons/ha (800 g/m²). The increase in rice production compared to the conventional method was 48.1%. |
