The decline in roundwood supply from natural forests and plantation forests on the island of Java has led to an increase in the contribution of community forests as a source of roundwood raw materials in Indonesia. This study aims to assess the quality of roundwood transport road networks on steep terrain in the Wonosobo community forest. The assessment was conducted on three logging plots using the forest area opening (PWH) parameter, which includes road density (WD), road spacing (WA), average road distance (RE), road network correction factor (Vcorr), and PWH percentage (E). The results showed that the road network in the three plots had Vcorr values between 1.02 and 1.10. The PWH percentage was 92.34% in the first plot, 96.18% in the second plot, and 93.49% in the third plot. The results of the study indicate that the roundwood transportation road network on steep terrain at the study site falls into the exceptional category. This means that the available roundwood transportation road network has been able to serve roundwood transportation activities effectively and efficiently despite being located on difficult terrain.
