Abstract: Kemajuan teknologi meningkatkan kebutuhan baterai ramah lingkungan dan efisien.
Technological advances increase the need for environmentally friendly and efficient batteries. This study aims to analyze the effect of silicon dioxide addition by determining the optimal ratio on improving the electricality and performance of carrageenan-PVA-based flexible batteries. The analysis included electrical power, FTIR, water uptake , proton conductivity, and tensile strength tests. Four material composition ratios (2:1:1, 1:2:1, 1:1:2, 1:1:1) were used to produce membranes with optimal mechanical characteristics and proton conductivity. The results showed no significant effect on all test values. The addition of SiO2 in the study still plays a role in increasing mechanical stability and ionic conductivity. The electrical value at the highest voltage was 0.25 V, the highest current strength was 0.025 A, and the electrical power was 5.7 mW, there was no formation of new groups in the FTIR spectrum, the highest water absorption was 56.8%, the highest conductivity value was 8.81 x 10-6 S/cm, and the highest tensile strength was 5.39 MPa. This research shows that a balanced combination of materials produces efficient and environmentally friendly paper batteries.
