| Abstract: | Vanili adalah hasil komoditas perkebunan Indonesia yang diperdagangkan dalam pasar internasional utamanya kepada Amerika Serikat dan potensial untuk dikembangkan. Harga komoditas vanili global relatif tinggi, tetapi nilai ekspor vanili Indonesia masih rendah bahkan mengalami penurunan dalam beberapa tahun terakhir. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis daya saing ekspor vanili Indonesia ke Amerika Serikat, faktor yang memengaruhi daya saing serta produksi vanili di Indonesia, dan strategi peningkatan daya saingnya. Data yang digunakan adalah data sekunder tahunan 2008-2022. Metode RCA, RSCA, dan EPD yang diterapkan untuk mengukur daya saing menunjukkan bahwa Indonesia memiliki daya saing kuat di pasar Amerika Serikat tetapi berada di posisi retreat pada 2022. Regresi OLS time series digunakan untuk menganalisis faktor yang memengaruhi daya saing ekspor tecermin pada nilai RCA. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa volume ekspor, harga ekspor, dan nilai tukar riil berpengaruh signifikan terhadap daya saing ekspor vanili Indonesia. Sementara itu produksi, luas lahan, dan GDP riil Amerika Serikat tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap daya saing ekspor vanili Indonesia. Analisis kualitatif menunjukkan faktor produksi dipengaruhi oleh tingginya harga pupuk, keterbatasan ketersediaan bibit unggul, penurunan luas lahan, rendahnya adopsi teknologi, dan terbatasnya akses perbankan. Strategi peningkatan daya saing meliputi peningkatan produksi, produktivitas lahan, kepatuhan standar ekspor, serta diversifikasi pasar dan produk. Vanilla is an Indonesian plantation product that is sold on the international market, particularly in the United States, and has potential for growth. The global price of vanilla is quite high, yet the value of Indonesian vanilla exports has remained low, even declining in recent years. This study aims to examine the competitiveness of Indonesian vanilla exports to the United States, variables influencing competitiveness and vanilla production in Indonesia, and how to increase competitiveness. The secondary data used ranged from 2008–2022. The RCA, RSCA, and EPD methods show that Indonesia has strong competitiveness in the United States market but is in a retreat position in 2022. Time series OLS regression shows that export volume, export prices, and real exchange rates have a significant effect on the competitiveness of Indonesian vanilla exports. Meanwhile, output, land area, and real GDP in the United States have no substantial impact on the competitiveness of Indonesian vanilla exports. According to quality analysis, high fertilizer prices, limited availability of superior seeds, diminishing land area, low technology adoption, and limited financial access have an impact on output parameters. Strategies for increasing competitiveness include raising output, improving land productivity, achieving export criteria, and diversifying markets and products. |
