Abstract: Pertumbuhan pengguna internet di Indonesia berdampak terhadap peningkatan pengguna e-commerce. Saat ini, proses jual beli barang maupun jasa sudah banyak dilakukan secara online yang disebut dengan e-commerce. Namun, fenomena tersebut banyak dimanfaatkan oleh perusahaan untuk meningkatkan keuntungan melalui berbagai cara termasuk melalui penerapan desain dark pattern pada situs web. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh perilaku belanja online, literasi digital, keamanan penggunaan media sosial, dan awareness terhadap kemampuan mendeteksi dark pattern pada pengguna e-commerce. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif melalui survei kepada 313 responden pengguna e-commerce yang berusia 18-30 tahun. Analisis deskriptif dengan SPSS 26,0 dan uji pengaruh dengan analisis SEM menggunakan SmartPLS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perilaku belanja online tidak memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap kemampuan mendeteksi dark pattern, literasi digital tidak memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap awareness dark pattern, keamanan penggunaan media sosial memiliki pengaruh negatif signifikan terhadap awareness dark pattern, keamanan penggunaan media sosial berpengaruh negatif signifikan terhadap kemampuan mendeteksi dark pattern, dan awareness dark pattern memiliki pengaruh positif signifikan terhadap kemampuan mendeteksi dark pattern.
The growth of internet users in Indonesia impacts the increase in e-commerce users. Currently, the process of buying and selling goods and services is widely done online, and it is called e-commerce. However, this phenomenon is widely utilized by companies to increase profits through various means, including the application of dark pattern design on websites. This study aims to analyze the influence of online shopping behavior, digital literacy, social media usage security, and awareness on the ability to detect dark patterns in e-commerce users. This research uses a quantitative approach through a survey of 313 e-commerce user respondents aged 18-30. Descriptive analysis with SPSS 26.0 and influence test with SEM analysis using SmartPLS. The results showed that online shopping behavior does not have a significant effect on the ability to detect dark patterns, digital literacy does not have a significant effect on dark pattern awareness, safe use of social media has a significant negative impact on dark pattern awareness, safe use of social media has a significant negative effect on the ability to detect dark patterns, and dark pattern awareness has a significant positive effect on the ability to detect dark patterns.
