Abstract: Banyaknya informasi yang bisa didapatkan dari membaca label pangan belum menjamin praktik konsumen dalam membaca label pangan. Hal ini disebabkan oleh kurangnya paparan informasi dan pengetahuan konsumen yang menyebabkan rendahnya tingkat kesadaran untuk membaca label pangan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis hubungan keterpaparan informasi dan pengetahuan dengan praktik membaca label pangan pada siswa SMAN 1 Dramaga. Desain penelitian ini adalah cross-sectional yang dilaksanakan pada bulan Mei 2024. Subjek penelitian merupakan siswa SMAN 1 Dramaga. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan cara pengisian sendiri oleh subjek melalui google form, dengan arahan dari peneliti. Analisis data meliputi analisis deskriptif dan uji hubungan antar dua variabel menggunakan metode chi-square dan spearman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sebagian besar subjek sudah pernah mendapatkan informasi mengenai label pangan (92,4%), dengan media sumber informasi terbesar adalah internet (77,1%). Tingkat pengetahuan subjek umumnya tergolong kategori cukup (82,9%), begitu juga dengan tingkat praktik subjek yang umumnya tergolong kategori cukup (61,9%). Hasil uji korelasi menunjukkan tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara keterpaparan informasi (p>0,05) dan pengetahuan (p>0,05) dengan praktik membaca label pangan.
A lot of information that can be obtained from reading food labels does not ensure consumer practice in reading food labels. This is due to the lack of information exposure and knowledge of consumers which causes a low level of awareness to read food labels. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between information exposure and knowledge with the practice of reading food labels among students of SMAN 1 Dramaga. The design of this study was cross-sectional which was conducted in May 2024. The subjects were students of SMAN 1 Dramaga. Data collection was carried out by self administered by subject through google form, with instructions from the researcher. Data analysis included descriptive analysis and relationship test between two variables using chi-square and spearman methods. The results showed that most subjects had received information about food labels (92.4%), with the largest source of information the internet (77.1%). The level of knowledge of the subjects was generally classified as moderate (82.9%), and the level of practice of reading food labels, which was generally classified as moderate (61.9%). The correlation test results showed no significant relationship between information exposure (p>0.05) and knowledge (p>0.05) with the practice of reading food labels.
