The increase in the area and production of coffee plantations in Indonesia poses a challenge to its management. Arabica coffee plantation management should be carried out while still paying attention to the hydrological characteristics of the soil so as not to cause potential hydrometeorological disasters such as landslides, droughts, and floods. Therefore, this study aimed to evaluate the hydrological characteristics of the soil in the Agroforestry and Non-Agroforestry management systems of Arabica coffee plantations in Bandung Regency. The management of Arabica coffee plantations studied was Agroforestry and Non-Agroforestry on the Andosol and Latosol soils in Bandung Regency. The hydrological characteristics of the soil were analyzed using the infiltration capacity measurement method which was then carried out by Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) to determine whether there were significant differences in the management of Agroforestry and Non- Agroforestry, Andosol and Latosol soil types, and Agroforestry at Andosol soil, Non-Agroforestry at Andosol soil, Agroforestry at Latosol soil, and Non- Agroforestry at Latosol soil. The results showed that Agroforestry management, especially on Andosol soil, had the highest infiltration capacity. Arabica coffee plantations with Non-Agroforestry management have lower soil hydrological characteristics due to soil compaction which causes high bulk density values and reduces the total pore space of the soil. Therefore, the Agroforestry management system produces higher hydrological characteristics and can help utilize the function of forest land without damaging the surrounding ecosystem.
