PT XYZ is a company that produces various kinds of textile and garment, one of the production departments is the Departement Spinning 9 which produces rayon yarn. The process carried out on the winding machine is rolling the cops into cones. Work carried out by machine operators includes cleaning the machine, taking cops, filling magazines, doffing papercones, reworking defective threads, waxing processes, and placing cones in the packing area. The large variety of work means that winding operators often do not meet shift targets. To help companies overcome these problems, the author will carry out work measurements using the work sampling method and analyze operator needs using the Work Load Analysis (WLA) and Work Force Analysis (WFA) methods. Based on the results of measurements that have been carried out, it is known that the winding section has an above average load, including in the section taking cops, filling magazines, doffing papercones, and put the cones into the packing area. |
