The high double workload of women, especially in rural areas, is due to the high amount of reproductive and productive work time which is exacerbated by the general condition of low levels of knowledge and skills. The existence of double workload results in different opportunities for women to participate in empowerment programs such as the P2WKSS program. This study aims to describe the relationship between individual and household characteristics and double workload with the level of women’s participating in P2WKSS program activities. The location of this research is in Sukamekar Village, Sukabumi Regency, West Java. This study uses a quantitative approach with data collected using a questionnaire supported by qualitative data. There were 45 respondents selected using simple random sampling technique. The research results show that family life cycle characteristic has an impact on women’s participation in the P2WKSS Program. Families with baby tend to have a high amount of time spent on reproductive work and impact on women’s participation levels.
