Career Development and Assessment (CDA) IPB merupakan salah satu unit kerja di IPB University yang melaksanakan program tentang pentingnya mempersiapkan mahasiswa untuk sukses dalam dunia kerja. Sejalan dengan hal itu, maka dibutuhkan sebuah wadah promosi untuk memperkenalkan CDA kepada pihak-pihak seperti mitra, instansi, perusahaan, maupun mahasiswa itu sendiri yang dapat dipahami secara visual. Sebagai salah satu komunikasi dalam bentuk media visual, video profil berperan penting dalam menyampaikan informasi terkait CDA di IPB University. Proyek akhir ini dilaksanakan selama empat bulan terhitung dari bulan Februari sampai Mei 2024, di Sub Direktorat Pengembangan Karir dan Kewirausahaan Direktorat Kemahasiswaan IPB atau Career Development and Assessment (CDA). Pada proses produksi video profil CDA IPB, Sutradara menerapkan Teori Laissez Faire. Pada video profil ini, talent yang ditampilkan merupakan mahasiswa dan mahasiswi aktif IPB University yang memiliki rentang usia 20-23 tahun. Dalam menerapkan teori ini, sutradara menemukan beberapa kelebihan dan kekurangan penerapan Teori Laissez Faire dalam proses produksi Video Profil CDA IPB. dc.description.abstractABSTRACT ERNA KARTIKA YULIANI. Laissez Faire Theory Implementation on the Directing of Video Profile of IPB Career Development and Assessment (CDA). Supervised by LEONARD DHARMAWAN. Career Development and Assessment (CDA) IPB is one of the work units at IPB University that implements programs on the importance of preparing students for success in the workforce. In line with this, a promotional platform is needed to introduce CDA to parties such as partners, institutions, companies, and the students themselves, in a visually comprehensible manner. As a means of communication in the form of visual media, a profile video plays an important role in conveying information related to CDA at IPB University. This final project was conducted over four months from February to May 2024, at the Sub-Directorate of Career Development and Entrepreneurship, Directorate of Student Affairs at IPB or Career Development and Assessment (CDA). In the process of producing the CDA IPB profile video, the director applied the Laissez-Faire Theory. In this profile video, the talents featured are active IPB University students aged between 20-23 years. In applying this theory, the director found several advantages and disadvantages of the Laissez-Faire Theory in the production process of the CDA IPB profile video.
