Abstract: Stunting adalah gangguan tumbuh kembang pada 1000 Hari Pertama Kelahiran (HPK) anak yang merupakan ancaman besar bagi Indonesia yang membutuhkan penanganan dengan cepat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran Dinas Kesehatan dalam upaya penanganan stunting di Kecamatan Ngoro Kabupaten Jombang. Dinas Kesehatan merupakan salah satu lembaga pemerintahan yang memiliki tugas, fungsi dan tanggung jawab untuk melaksanakan sebagian urusan daerah di bidang kesehatan agar tercapainya kesejahteraan masyarakat. Permasalahan gizi buruk menjadi tujuan prioritas utama pemerintahan Indonesia salah satunya adalah percepatan penurunan stunting. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan mix methode yang menggunakan desain sequential explanatory melalui analisa kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa dinas kesehatan telah melakukan berbagai upaya untuk mengatasi stunting, namun belum mencapai target capaian. Perlu adanya pemantauan dan evaluasi terus menerus terhadap program pemberian TTD, pemberian makanan tambahan, pelatihan eksklusif ASI, MPASI, vitamin A, imunisasi lengkap, dan edukasi tentang gizi.
Stunting is a growth disorder at the first 1000 days of birth of a child that is a major threat to Indonesia that needs urgent treatment. The study aims to analyze the role of the Department of Health in the treatment of stunts in the Ngoro district of Jombang. The Health Service is one of the institutions of government that has the duty, function and responsibility to carry out some of the local affairs in the field of health in order to the well-being of the people. The problem of malnutrition is one of the top priorities of the Indonesian government, one of which is to accelerate the decline of stunting. The research uses a mix method approach that uses sequential explanatory design through qualitative and quantitative analysis. The results show that health services have made various efforts to tackle stunting, but have not reached the target reach. There is a need for continuous monitoring and evaluation of TTD programmes, supplementary feeding, exclusive breastfeeding training, MPASI, vitamin A, complete immunization, and nutritional education.
