Abstract: Pada program breeding itik petelur, rasio jantan-betina yang tepat sangat penting untuk memastikan stok bibit itik unggul untuk program pemuliaan.
In the layer duck breeding program, the appropriate male-female ratio is crucial to ensure a superior breeding stock for breeding programs. The malefemale ratio is studied to ensure the availability of superior breeding ducklings. This research aims to know the effect of male-female ratios on hen day production (HDP), fertility, hatchability, mortality, and the quality of day-old ducklings (DOD) of Alabimaster-1 laying ducks at Agrinak. The study was conducted from December 2023 to March 2024 at BPSI-UAT. A total of 84 ducks aged 19 months were divided into 4 treatment groups of male-female ratios: P1 (1:3), P2 (1:5), P3 (1:7), and P4 (1:9), and were housed in 12 colony cages with litter bedding (3 repetitions per group). The ducks were fed a diet containing 18% crude protein. A total of 1212 eggs of Alabimaster-1 Agrinak laying ducks were incubated using the Multiplo automatic incubation machine with a multistage system. Male-female ratios did not affect fertility, mortality, hatchability, and DOD quality but affected HDP, with the 1:9 ratio showing the highest difference.
