Badan
Pusat Statistik (BPS) mencatat di tahun 2023 kunjungan wisatawan mancanegara
naik dibandingkan tahun sebelumnya. Berdasarkan GMTI 2023, Indonesia berada
Indonesia. The tourism sector is a key pillar of Indonesia's economy and a major contributor to foreign exchange earnings. According to the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), international tourist arrivals increased in 2023 compared to the previous year. Based on the GMTI 2023, Indonesia ranks first globally for halal tourism. Despite this achievement, the development of halal tourism in Indonesia still faces several challenges, necessitating strategic development efforts. The study uses the method of systematic literature review (SLR) to look at opportunities, challenges, and strategies of halal tourism in Indonesia. The results of the research showed opportunities in the development of halal tourism in Indonesia with a large Muslim population and diverse halal tourist attractions. Meanwhile, the challenges to be faced are the lack of halal certification, lack of human resource readiness, and lack of national regulation. There are six aspects: Environment, Amenities, Service, Government, Human Resources, and Promotion which are the main aspects that can be applied in the development of halal tourism in Indonesia. |
