penyakit akibat kerja.
One crucial regulation that every company needed to possess to support the implementation of workplace safety was the Standard Operational Procedure (SOP). Based on the pre-research findings at the 2000-ton cold storage owned by the Directorate General of Strengthening the Competitiveness managed by PT Perikanan Indonesia, there had been an absence of SOP. Cold storage represented a workplace area with extreme conditions. The lack of SOP in the 2000-ton cold storage had increased the likelihood of accidents and work-related illnesses. The research aimed to identify activities, assess potential sources of hazards, and calculate the level of risk of accidents and work-related illnesses among workers in the 2000-ton cold storage. The method employed in that research had involved descriptive analysis to depict the activity conditions at the research site and had employed a formal safety assessment approach to evaluate potential sources of hazards and assess the risk of accidents and work-related illnesses. The research findings had provided information about potential sources of hazards and had categorized the risks of accidents and work-related illnesses. The workplace temperature had been identified as one critical source of hazards that could trigger severe accidents and work-related illnesses. There had been 35 activities carried out by workers in the cold storage, where 18 activities had been categorized as having moderate risk, 8 activities as high risk, and 3 activities as very high risk. This information could be utilized to aid in the formulation of SOPs for the 2000-ton cold storage. |
