Kata kunci: Bintil akar, Enterobacter, Fabaceae, Penyakit tanaman kedelai The soybean plant is the main legume crop that has been associated with nitrogen fixation bacteria through the formation of root nodules. Plant disease is an important factor affecting the quality and quantity of soybean production. One of the diseases is stem rot caused by Sclerotium rolfsii. This study aims to determine the role of Bacillus sp. in controlling S. rolfsii and the effects of nitrogen-fixation bacteria from root nodules in inducing the growth of soybean plants and the compatibility of the two bacterial isolates. The research methods included a Bacillus antagonist test against S. rolfsii, a compatibility test between Bacillus sp. and root nodule isolates, a test of the ability of root nodule isolates to induce growth of soybean plants, and molecular identification of Bacillus sp. and nitrogen-fixation bacteria isolates. There were two Bacillus isolates that inhibited the growth of S. rolfsii namely B. subtilis and B. pseudomycoides. The two isolates of Bacillus sp. are compatible with isolates of nitrogen fixation bacteria namely Enterobacter sp. and E. cancerogenus.
