| Abstract: | Akumulasi lemak abdomen merupakan salah satu faktor risiko
munculnya sindrom metabolik, seperti obesitas. Penelitian ini bertujuan
untuk mengukur dan membandingkan tingkat konsumsi pakan, bobot
badan, dan perlemakan abdomen pada tikus yang diberi pakan tinggi
kolesterol dan ‘emping dadih’. Penelitian ini menggunakan 15 ekor tikus
yang dibagi menjadi 3 kelompok perlakuan yaitu kelompok pakan standar
(A), kelompok pakan standar, dan kolesterol (B), kelompok pakan
standar, kolesterol, dan ‘emping dadih’ (C). Perlakuan ini dilaksanakan
selama 5 minggu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian
kolesterol dan ‘emping dadih’ tidak berpengaruh terhadap konsumsi
pakan dan bobot badan (P > 0,05). Penelitian ini menunjukkan
peningkatan indeks lemak yang sangat signifikan pada kelompok C
dibandingkan kelompok pakan standar (A) (P < 0,01). Penelitian ini
menyimpulkan bahwa pemberian kolesterol dan ‘emping dadih’
berpotensi meningkatkan penumpukan lemak perut pada model tikus. Abdominal fat accumulation is a risk factor for metabolic syndromes, such as obesity. The main goal of this study was to measure and compare consumption rate, body weight and abdominal fat in rats fed high cholesterol dan ‘emping dadih’. This study used 15 Sprague dawley rats divided into 3 treatment groups: the standard feed group (A), the standard feed and cholesterol group (B), the standard feed, cholesterol and ‘emping dadih’ group (C). The treatment was carried out for 5 weeks. Result showed that giving cholesterol and emping dadih had no effect on feed consumption and body weight (P > 0,05). This study showed a very significant increase on the fat index in C group than standard feed group (A) (P < 0,01). This study concluded that giving cholesterol and emping dadih has the potential increasing the accumulation of abdominal fat in the rat model. |
