Red bigeye is a catch that is the target of fishermen in the Palabuhanratu area because it is an export commodity so it can cause overfishing. The purpose of this study was to determine the condition of the red bigeye (Priacanthus macracanthus) population in Palabuhanratu Bay based on bioeconomic aspects. Fish sampling was carried out using the Simple Random Sampling method from September 2021 to February 2022. The data used is in the form of secondary and primary data. The surplus production model used for biological parameters in the bioeconomic analysis is Fox because it has a larger R, namely 61%. Based on the Fox model, the maximum sustainable catch (MSY) is 16,998 kg/trip and the fishing effort (fMSY) is 859 trips/year which ensures the sustainability of red bigeye resources. The results of the three management regimes fOA are greater than fMEY and fMSY, so the condition of the population of red bigeye (Priacanthus macracanthus) resources in Palabuhanratu Bay based on the bioeconomic approach has experienced overfishing. |
