Abstract: Salah satu sektor yang saat ini tengah menjadi unggulan di Indonesia yaitu pariwisata terkhusus wisata halal (Halal Tourism). Konsep halal menjadi trend mulai dari kuliner, fashion, kosmetik bahkan sektor pariwisata mengarah pada konsep halal. Wisata pantai halal di Indonesia masih sedikit. Kabupaten Gunung Kidul memiliki kawasan wisata pantai terluas di provinsi D.I. Yogyakarta. Beberapa objek wisata pantai Gunung Kidul memilki potensi wisata pantai halal. Tindak lanjut dan rencana pengembangan masih belum terealisasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk untuk menganalisis strategi pengembangan wisata pantai halal di Kabupaten Gunung Kidul dengan menggunakan metode Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) dan pendekatan Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kekuatan menjadi prioritas utama dalam mengembangkan wisata pantai halal di Kabupaten Gunung Kidul. Aspek kekuatan, kelemahan, peluang, dan ancaman yang paling berpengaruh, secara berturut-turut menunjukan bahwa harga tiket yang terjangkau, pengelola wisata pantai yang kurang memahami wisata halal, banyak wisatawan yang berkunjung, serta minimnya pengetahuan masyarakat tentang wisata. Implikasi kebijakan penelitian ini yaitu penetapan kebijakan sertifikasi halal bagi praktisi dan penetapan peraturan yang jelas tentang wisata pantai halal.
One of the sectors that is currently leading in Indonesia is tourism, especially halal tourism (Halal Tourism). The halal concept has become a trend starting from culinary, fashion, cosmetic and even the tourism sector leading to the halal concept. Halal beach tourism in Indonesia is still few. Gunung Kidul Regency has the largest coastal tourism area in the province of Yogyakarta Special Territory. Some of Gunung Kidul's beach attractions have the potential for halal beach tourism. The follow-up and development plans have not yet been realized. This study aims to analyze the strategy of developing halal beach tourism in Gunung Kidul Regency using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method and the Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT) approaches. The results of this study indicate that strength is a top priority in developing halal beach tourism in Gunung Kidul Regency. The most influential aspects of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats are affordable ticket prices, coastal tourism managers who do not understand halal tourism, many tourists visit, and the lack of public knowledge about tourism respectively. The policy implications of this research are the establishment of a halal certification policy for practitioners and the establishment of clear regulations regarding halal beach tourism.
